Reposting Policy

So here’s the deal.

I’m not looking for a job. I’m not looking to be hired, branded, reworked, or filtered through anyone else’s editorial lens. I’ve spent a lifetime surviving systems that tried to reshape me, control me, erase me, or soften me—and I didn’t walk through hell to become someone else’s content.

What I am doing is writing the truth—raw, unedited, and real. I’m documenting my life, one post at a time, through RescueGirl557.com. This blog is becoming a memoir. It is, in every sense, my record—and it stands on its own.

That said, if something I’ve written or photographed moves you, hits you, or stays with you long after the screen fades to black, you’re welcome to reprint it with written permission…under a few non-negotiable conditions:

What You Can Do

  • Re-publish my writing as-is
  • Use my photography to accompany my words
  • Credit me clearly and correctly, as Emily Pratt Slatin.
  • Link back to RescueGirl557.com

🚫 What You Can’t Do

  • Edit or “clean up” my words
  • Extract quotes out of context
  • Remove attribution
  • Reproduce my images without credit
  • Water me down to make me more “palatable” to your audience

🎯 My Work Is Not Up For Sale. It’s Up for Impact.

I don’t need the paycheck. I don’t need the platform. I already have both—built on my own terms. If you’d like to amplify my work, you’re welcome to do so with respect. But I am not seeking employment, publication contracts, or permission to speak. I’ve already claimed that.

If you want to feature what I’ve written, say so. If you want to run my photographs, do it right. Otherwise, don’t waste my time—and don’t water down my voice. I’ve come too far and lost too much to let anyone else narrate this.

This is my life.
This is my truth.
This is my work.
And you’re welcome to honor it—or step aside.
